What to Expect
Psychoanalysis (sometimes called talk therapy) encourages respectful treatment with consideration for each client’s own timing – working at his or her own pace. Psychoanalysis can help people better understand themselves, their relationships, and their behavior. The philosophy of this practice is to create More Talk…Less Meds. Talking about everything that comes to mind is encouraged. Dr. Grigson believes that “for everyone to become their own best mother, it is important to say everything.” Client and psychotherapist collaborate to understand Your life; to explore and widen Your choices, to increase Your ability to predict outcomes – so You can choose to DO only what is very best for YOU.
Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis, as practiced here, has been described as a “finishing school for the emotions.” Parents do the best they can to teach their children to experience and deal with their emotions. In this powerful realm of emotional learning, however, there is always more to learn if one wants.
Working with a psychotherapist can help you make lasting changes in your life.
